Well, the time has come, babe. You’re finally 18 and to be honest, it doesn’t seem real. The last of my boys is finally 18. It has been so amazing watching you grow, from the little 16 year old boy singing “ Isn’t She Lovely,” into the wonderful man that you are today. Seeing you smile, with those beautiful dimples, is honestly the greatest gift that anyone could ever give me. You have given me a life to look forward to. You’ve taught me not to be afraid to cry whenever I need it, no matter who is watching me. You’ve taught me to be myself, accept myself and be happy with who I am. I used to take life for guaranteed before you, now I cherish every single day. I wake up smiling, a real smile, thanks to you. You are perfect in every single way possible, never think that you need to change. I love you for you, not for who everyone wants you to be.

So, Happy 18th Birthday, babe. I can not describe how proud I am of you, of where you are in life and what you’ve accomplished.
